QUESTIONS ANSWERED REGARDING

BURBANK ENTERPRISE ZONES

Does the City of Burbank have an Enterprise Zone?

The City of Burbank does not have formal Enterprise Zones - however the Burbank Redevelopment Agency, does have certain designated "redevelopment project areas." Within these areas we have the ability to offer an aggressive business attraction/retention package which is tailored to the needs of the specific business. Under the Enterprise Zone program, there is a set menu of incentives - in a project area we have the flexibility to offer incentives that reflect the unique needs of the business. The criteria that we consider (beyond location within a project area) includes: 1) level of revenue generated by the business 2) number of jobs created or 3) the use or business delivers an "unmet need" to the community.
