Credit Union Members Go Green
Lockheed Federal Credit Union Offers
Environmentally Sound Opportunity
Burbank, Calif. (April 22, 2008) – Lockheed Federal Credit
Union has presented another way to grow with the financial institution.
LFCU made a donation this month to ensure more than 500 trees
are planted in a damaged forest, thanks to help from its members and the Arbor
Day Foundation. The credit union hosted a go-green promotion in March, offering
members the opportunity to reduce paper clutter in favor of electronic
statements.
“The campaign was a great way for the Credit Union to help
members understand the benefits of electronic statements,” said Andrea
Carpenter, Senior Vice President of Marketing for LFCU. “E-Statements are
never lost or stolen in the mail, so they help to reduce the risk of identity
theft. The credit union maintains two years’ worth of statements online, so
they are always just a click away.”
LFCU made a donation to the Arbor Day Foundation on behalf of
every member who made the switch to receive paperless statements.
Electronic statements also provide the benefit of receiving each
monthly statement the same day it is ready. LFCU stores e-Statements online for
up to two years, giving members access anytime, anywhere. As well as being good
for the environment, e-Statements are convenient and secure.
