Because of his interest in both sculpture and ceramics, John Hopkins decided to study under Jerry Rothman at California State University Fullerton where he received his BA, MA and MFA in ceramics. Rothman was one of the original Otis group who studied under Peter Voulkos.

John is currently an Associate Professor of Art at Riverside Community College in California where he has been since 1981. John’s teaching experience also includes the Art Institute of Chicago and California State Universities Fullerton and Dominguez Hills. He has exhibited his work nationally and internationally since 1968. He’s published in numerous magazine articles and books on Ceramics by well known authors Robin Hopper, Susan Peterson and Lark Books 500 series

Opening reception is on Friday, September 10, 7:00 - 9:00 pm.

Burbank Kiwanis For Fun and the JBHS Arrowhead Club proudly present their Car Show and Arts and Crafts Fair. This fundraising event will benefit the Burroughs Football program. Kiwanis For Fun will be serving their "world famous" pancake breakfast, followed by a great lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and the best fries this side of the Mississippi. Gorgeous vintage cars, music, great food, definitely a day not to miss!

The instructor is Mark Colson, who has been in many productions at the Banshee theater in Burbank. Colson was nominated for the Ovation award for his part of 'Slim' in their production "Of Mice and Men." He has also been on many TV series, including "Angel," "Heroes" and "CSI-NY" as well as a recurring role on a popular daytime soap.

The class is for all levels of competence. You will learn how to think on your feet which will help you in auditions. We do various forms of skits or inter-activity to teach us how to pay attention and work well with others. The activities change from week to week.
