Thursday, September 25, 8:00 pm, William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, directed by James Schendel, and produced by Shakespeare at Play, will have a One Night Only special engagement at the Colony Theatre in Burbank. Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written early in the career of reknowned playwright William Shakespeare about two teenage "star-cross'd lovers" whose untimely deaths ultimately unite their feuding households. It was among Shakespeare's most popular plays during his lifetime and is one of his most frequently performed plays. Shakespeare at Play, a 501 c 3 non-profit company, brings Shakespeare and the classics into schools and communities. The Colony Theatre is located at 555 N. Third Street in Burbank.
