The 17th Annual Spring Fashion Show Luncheon of the Burbank Parent Education
Council (BPEC) will focus its theme, TV Moms Black and White to Color, We are
remembering famous TV Moms like Harriet Nelson, June Cleaver, Carol Brady,
Shirley Partridge, Samantha Stevens, Clair Huxtable, Deborah Baronne and our own
star: Maria Canals-Barrera who plays the Mom on Disney's Wizards of Waverly
Place!!! Expect fantastic fashions from the 50's thru today. Fashions provided
by Diana's Boutique and Drapers and Damons.
The BPEC is a nonprofit educational organization operating as a part of the
Burbank Adult School, under the auspices of the Burbank Unified School District.
As its major yearly fundraiser, the BPEC Fashion Show Luncheon will support
educational classes in child development, provide student loans and scholarships
for economically disadvantaged parents, and replace classroom and outdoor
supplies and equipment. The parent child classes also furnish essential
educational guidance and tools for parents in the community while simultaneously
promoting early childhood lessons though various fun activities and play. By
giving parents and children better communication and problem-solving tools,
these classes strengthen our entire community - but we need your help to
continue offering these vital services. www.burbankparented.org
In addition, local businesses have donated approximately 100 baskets
containing various products and gift certificates for drawings. These
opportunity baskets are one of the main attractions for this event. The
approximate retail value on each basket is minimum value of $100! For those of
you that are shoppers, not to worry there will be vendors with their wares. So
you can shop til' you drop.
